Go-to morning spot for caffeine. I saw the Barista hand pick the beans for roasting. Tells you the quality and love in the coffee you get served.

Espresso con panna is deserved for 5 stars rates.

A long-established coffee shop, but the one I pushed the most is pudding! I mistakenly thought that the coffee Ou Lai is a latte. I can't do it if the milk tastes too heavy. Smoking is allowed in the store, which is a bit painful for non-smokers

Pudding is so nice and coffee is well than I expect. I ordered medium roasted and it is not bitter like most of Japanese coffee.

A quiet and classic coffee shop near the entrance of Omicho Market. The delicious Higashide Blend was carefully hand-dripped by the owner. It is a great place to relax amidst a busy day touring Kanazawa.

Classic Japanese cafe. Lots of pour-over options plus a couple cakes. Don't expect anything hipster or Western and you'll be happy.

Quiet / Quaint Kanazawa coffee shop encourages you to go slow. Low ceilings and easy lighting makes for a quiet conversational atmosphere.

Dark wooden furniture, smooth and round from the years. The air is smokey, giving the place a bit of a jazz bar feel. At the counter sits an old couple, chatting with the baristas behind the bar. The seats fill up with elegantly dressed ladies and men in business suits having their morning coffee (and stocking up on coffee beans). Another old man comes in, the couple at the counter greets him, obviously old friends, and make space for him at the counter. We came in for breakfast on a rainy weekday morning, and found that they have more than 20 kinds of coffee but just 2 choices for food - we ordered both, a caramel pudding and a thick toast with butter and jam. The pudding was delicious, the burnt sugar taste just right with a cup of coffee. The toast was perfectly done as well - well buttered. I had the Yemeni coffee, it was very nice, without an aftertaste.

In the old coffee shop next to the Omi-machi market, the store offers more than ten flavors of coffee beans, and the flavors are emphasized to light. The store is a bit noisy, and it would be more comfortable to visit when there were fewer people. The pudding is delicious and worth a try, with a coffee discount of 50 baht!

I think a lot of locals and tourist come to this cafe. It was full around 9am. Great place to have coffee. So many drip coffee choices. They also have pudding which was really good. You also get ¥50 discount if you get coffee and pudding together.

Great coffee, roasted and ground on the premises! Helpful service although limited English spoken. Menu has coffee types in English. Comfortable environment, but smoking is allowed indoors!

Finally found a coffee shop with coffee that works.Tasty, good variety.Clean, quiet and very comfortable place to stop.We tried 2 hot and 2 cold coffee treats. All good.4.5 out of 5. A bit more kick and I'd give the full 5 stars.Having said that, was stronger than most other coffee tried in Japan so far.

Good coffee, better pudding cake thing

You can choose from around 20 freshly roasted coffees and enjoy the pure taste. For food, they only offer toast, so a bit more of variety would be nice. Btw: menu in English is available.

Skip your Starbucks and get your coffee here (if you actually like coffee).

The pudding is so creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The house blend was definitely a go to. I recommend 👌🏽

They have several levels of coffee so you can choose from light to dark coffee. Truly coffee shop!

I tried some beans from three countries in the central America. Their skill of roasting is superb to succeed in obtaining a delicate balance of acidity, bitterness and flavor of these challenging kinds of coffee beans.

Really nice place, we were 4 people and one did not like the coffee but still charged for both. Not very good service otherwise very quaint and the variety good.

Gold trimmed coffee cup warrants six stars. Plus Costa Rican roast was the way I remember it from our last visit there. Charming setting near morning market makes it a good gateway to the castle ground. Come later in the day and enjoy a cream caramel.

Vintage coffee shop with a bar, mostly locals. Not exactly third wave coffee, no espresso. More just quality drip coffee served in nice porcelain. Service is a bit salty and prices are high for what you get. Overall not bad.

Reasonable price of a very nice hand-drip. Next to the tourist spot and very good location. A good place for a rest while my family eating all the fish and uni in the market.Just hope they will turn to a non smoking cafe in the future

It is a full-fledged coffee shop from the roasting of coffee beans but it is on the main street just off the Omi-machi market, people working locally, people working in the market and tourists come and popular shops that are filled from the morning is. It may be calm if it is a weekday morning. I went to the 8 o'clock Saturday morning, but it started crowding around 9 o'clock. It is a coffee shop that I want to come close whenever I go to Kanazawa. Please take care as Sunday is closed.

Old school coffee salon.Good service though everyone seems a bit frantic and rushed, even though they were a team of four people, and the shop was half empty.A lot of choice in beans. I went for an Ethiopian. It's all filter, all fine. But the coffee had a distinctly old fashioned roast going on. It seems they roast in-house. Bitter, almost burnt, and mostly the taste of the roast, not a lot of the fruitiness of the cherry.The interior is beautiful though, and the people running the place are dedicated. Smoking is allowed, and done so by the many locals that visit here.If you want a sort of film noir experience, come here. If you crave good coffee, consider other places.I went here cus this place is featured on goodcoffee.me , an otherwise reliable source of great coffee places in Japan and around. Kanazawa is just lacking a little bit in third wave love!
